Video with a virtual piano keyboard → MIDI

This is an open source project that I deployed on one of my servers. Feel free to use it.

Please note: I believe music and software should be free! This project only automates sheet music recording using only available information from videos that users themselves post openly on video hosting sites like YouTube. Therefore, they cannot limit your ability to record sheet music. You could rewrite it yourself. For example, 14-year-old Mozart did this by ear, completely transcribing the nine-part choral work "Miserere", which was guarded by the Vatican as a state secret. It was forbidden to remove it from the Sistine Chapel or copy it under penalty of excommunication. By placing this work in the public domain.

P.S.
I am not against piracy; it allows people who lack the financial means to access the data/programs/etc. they need. But I think that if you have the opportunity to support the authors of original lessons, MIDI, or other software and non-software products, I recommend doing so. Because their work is important, too.

Upload a video (a Synthesia recording or similar), configure the key-detection settings and get a finished .mid file. No more than 5 clips are processed at once (currently queued/processing: 0). The source video is kept while you're using it - if it isn't accessed for over 1h, the file is deleted (the finished MIDI itself always stays available for download). Maximum file size is 40 MB; if the total size of uploaded videos exceeds 3 GB, the least recently opened clips are deleted automatically to make room for new ones. The final file is named using the pattern «date_time_nickname_title.mid». !! Please note !! AV1 is not supported, so videos with this codec may not work well.

To upload a video, please log in or register. MIDI file names are built from your nickname, so converting is only available to logged-in users.
